This milestone, Grade II listed[1], is on the inside of the corner outside Chale House, at the top of Blythe Shute on the Military Road (A3055) on the Isle of Wight.

The inscription is largely illegible, apart from 'NEWPORT' just being made out. The 1896, OS map identifies the milestone as showing 'Newport 9'.
