St Andrew's Mission Hall, Hunnyhill, Newport

The St Andrew's Mission Hall, Albany Road, Newport (but in the Parish of Carisbrooke) was an 'Iron Church' erected in 1904 and which was attached to St Mary the Virgin Church, Carisbrooke.

The building, which had accommodation for 100, was designed by Mr S. E. Tomkins of Newport and was erected by Mr G. F. Quinton of Newport at a cost of £150. It was opened by Lady Adela Cochrane in July 1904.[1]

The church continued in use until the early 2000's when it was demolished and the site developed with housing (7a and 7b Albany Road.)
