Appley Towers boathouse

At the eastern end of Ryde sea front, where the road turns inland to the Appley Lane and the car park is a building, facing the slipway with the road on each side, now (2019) used by Ryde Rowing Club (according to the notice on the door).

This was the boathouse for the Appley Towers estate. Probably designed by local architect Thomas Hellyer and built by local builder Isaac Barton (who were responsible for Appley Towers house).
