Lime Kiln, Strawberry Lane, Mottistone

Built into the southern side of Mottistone Down on Strawberry Lane is this lime kiln, probably dating from the end of the 19th century. The kiln would have been ideally situated with the chalk down behind, and there are obvious signs of Chalk Pits.
