Lime Kiln, Moons Hill, Freshwater

Built into the north side of Moons Hill Freshwater, this structure is believed to be a lime kiln. For many years, its purpose was uncertain - possibly an ice house - and its 'restoration' in the late Victorian times didn't really help with identification but it's now fairly confidently recognised as a lime kiln.

Although there were two structures recorded on the site, only one is now evident.
