Barrington Row, aka Winkle Street, is a picturesque row of cottages dating from the 18th-century which looks out on the village stream of Calbourne. They were official named Barrington Row after the death of Sir Barrington Simeon of nearby Swainston Manor in the parish of Calbourne.

Sir Barrington Simeon died in France in 1909 and is buried in the family vault underneath the floor of All Saint's Church, Calbourne
